Deep River Sangha meets on Sunday afternoons from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Unitarian-Universalist Church of Greensboro, 5603 Hilltop Road, Jamestown, North Carolina. Be sure to check our online calendar for holiday/weather closings or other changes to our regular schedule! Our weekly practice consists of sitting and walking meditation, Dharma discussion and shared readings. Visitors are always welcome, regardless of experience level. If you are new to this practice, be sure to check out our sangha library. On the first Sunday of each month we enjoy silent sitting and walking meditation. On the last Sunday of each month, we have a potluck vegetarian dinner after practice (see below). Chairs and some cushions are provided, or you may bring your own cushion. There is no charge to attend, although donations are accepted with gratitude and are used to pay for sangha expenses such as cushions, books, scholarships for retreats, and the cost of hosting this website. By far your most valuable contribution to our sangha is your mindful presence. For further information, send an email to bill@deepriversangha.org . Potluck Dinners On the last Sunday of each month, Deep River Sangha has a potluck (or "kitchen karma") dinner. All are invited to attend and bring a vegetarian or vegan dish to share. Our sitting and walking practice on these occasions will be from 4:00 to 5:15 followed by mindful vegetarian dining together.
